Few companies can operate efficiently without computers, mobile devices and the networks to connect them. Yet many companies and professionals conduct their business without the basic protections and training critical to minimizing cyber intrusions. “Big Data” is now the “Internet of Things” which is being replaced by the “Internet of Everything.” Having massive amounts of digital information at one’s fingertips is both a marvel and a recipe for disaster. The reality (and cost) of the risks is becoming part of the daily news cycle, as cyber threats increase in scope and damage. This session offers insight into this world of cybersecurity and shares best practices, information on new detection tools, a roadmap for what to do when the inevitable happens, and the specific types of cyber liability protections that businesses should make part of their standard insurance portfolio.
