Learn How to Navigate the Section 301 And Section 232 Tariff Process.

The Illinois SBDC International Trade Center at Bradley University is excited to announce a training event on Understanding the Section 301 and section 232 tariff process.

Importers and Exporters may have some familiarity with Section 301 because of products made in China being subject to high duties during the last administration. However, Section 301 has a long history and has been used as an effective trade tool for years by domestic industries but has sometimes been criticized as too broad by importers and consumers. Section 301 currently is used to address intellectual property issues along with market access to US companies and can be used for a wide range of products. There have been some exclusions from the recent duties on China but this process has ended. Section 232 tariffs on steel and aluminum have also affected many companies. The exclusion process on these items is still open and partially retroactive. What changes can we expect in the new administration? We would like to invite you to our Section 301 webinar with speaker Mr. Leslie Alan Glick, Attorney and co-chair of the International Trade and Customs Specialty Team at Butzel Long's Washington DC office. Mr. Glick is an expert in international trade and customs law.
