BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich. – Butzel Long attorney and shareholder David W. Sommerfeld was recently appointed to the Fiduciary Income Tax Committee of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC).
In addition, Mr. Sommerfeld will be a featured speaker at continuing education seminars presented by Professional Education Systems Inc. (PESI) in November in Louisville, Ky., Indianapolis, Ind., and, Chicago, Ill. In December, he will be a featured speaker at seminars in Grand Rapids and Novi. His presentation is titled, "Federal Fiduciary Income Tax Workshop."
Based in Butzel Long's Bloomfield Hills office, Mr. Sommerfeld practices in the areas of estate planning, probate, and trust administration. He also has experience in the areas of income tax, estate and gift tax, and related tax and financial matters. He serves as Practice Group Leader of the firm's Probate, Trust and Estate Planning Practice. Mr. Sommerfeld is a Certified Public Accountant as well as an attorney.
