WASHINGTON, D.C. – Ira E. Hoffman, an attorney based in Butzel Long’s Washington, D.C. office, will moderate a panel during the FireEye 4th Annual Government Forum on March 15, 2017 in Washington, D.C. More than 1,000 senior government officials, analysts and security professionals are expected to attend this national event.
The panel program is titled, “Cyber Threat Intelligence: Moving Beyond Compliance.” Modern cyber attackers are sophisticated, well-funded and well-organized. For government agencies to stop them, they need to know exactly how they work and why they do it. This session will look at how to supplement legacy defenses and develop a holistic approach to risk management with an integrated focus on the adversary via actionable threat intelligence.
Hoffman focuses his practice on government contracts, international law, commercial litigation and cybersecurity law and policy. He has more than 30 years’ experience in international contracting, and his cybersecurity practice focuses on liability for security breaches, M&A due diligence, government investigations, and strategies for mitigating cyber risk.
