Butzel Long attorney Les Glick discusses US Mexico Canada Agreement (USMCA) on Detroit PBS Autoline Show
Washington shareholder and co-chair of the Butzel International Trade and Customs Specialty Team Les Glick is a panelist on the US Mexico Canada Agreement(USMCA) on the Autoline show on Detroit PBS WTVS, channel 56 program to be televised on Sunday October 13 at 10.30 am.
Les is a panelist in the program taped earlier entitled “ Promises & Pitfalls of the USMCA Trade Agreement”, a discussion hosted by Autoline MC John McElroy and including Kristin Dziczek of the Center for Automotive Research(CAR) and John Brusuelas, Chief economist with RSM., as well as Les, The program will also be carried on 16 other PBS affiliated stations in other cities including Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, As well as other Michigan stations in Flint, Saginaw and Kalamazoo.
Les discussed the details of the propose USMCA from his perspective as an international trade lawyer in Washington who has been actively involved in lobbying for passage of the agreement on behalf of automotive clients. The agreement is supported by the vast majority of automotive producers and parts suppliers. Les discussed both substantive aspects of the agreement, such as the new automotive rules of origin, along with procedural issues such as the timing of its passage through Congress. Les had visited the Offices of Speaker Pelosi and other members of congress as part of coordinated lobbying efforts with the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association(MEMA) in September.
