DETROIT, Mich. – For the second year, Butzel Long attorney and shareholder Rebecca S. Davies will be a featured speaker during a panel presentation at the North American Transportation Employee Relations Association’s (NATERA) 26th Annual Conference October 21-23, 2012 in St. Pete’s Beach, Fla. Ms. Davies is a NATERA Board member.
The title for the panel presentation is: “The Workplace and the EEOC Regulatory Agenda – An Intimate Discussion.” The program is a unique opportunity for attendees to interact with Constance Barker, Commissioner, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and a panel of regulatory experts.
“I’ve had the great honor this year to serve as a featured speaker with three Commissioners of the EEOC including Victoria Lipnic, Chai Feldbaum and now Constance Barker,” added Ms. Davies. “It is a career highlight to be featured along with such revered EEOC leaders.”

She represents employers in federal and state court litigation and before state and federal administrative agencies. She regularly counsels employers regarding compliance under federal and state employment laws (including FLSA, FMLA, ADA and Title VII), drafts policies and procedures, and advises on preventative strategies.
Ms. Davies' objective is to assist clients in implementing preventative strategies to avoid lawsuits. To accomplish this goal, she is a frequent author and lecturer, not only for client in-house trainings and publications, but also outside organizations, such as Walsh College, the Michigan Chamber of Commerce, Automation Alley and American Society of Employers.
Ms. Davies earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan at Dearborn and her juris doctorate, magna cum laude, from the Detroit College of Law in 1995.
