BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich. – Butzel Long attorney and shareholder Robert H. Schwartz will be featured during a December 11, 2009 podcast for the American Bar Association (ABA) on the "Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act." It will be posted on the ABA Health Law Section site.
In addition, Mr. Schwartz will be featured during an ABA webinar on January 28, 2010. The focus of the teleconference is "eHealth, Privacy and Security."
Mr. Schwartz's practice includes corporate and health care activities. He has extensive experience in business planning, mergers and acquisitions and in assisting health care and hospital clients in the health care regulatory areas including reimbursement, fraud and abuse, and hospital physician relations, among others. He also works on various international matters with a particular emphasis on Mexico, Latin America and Canada.
Mr. Schwartz is a member of the Health Law Sections of the American Bar Association and State Bar of Michigan, the American Health Lawyers Association, the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association, as well as the State Bar of Michigan. He is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association. He also has authored a number of articles for various publications and is a frequent lecturer on various topics relating to health care.
Mr. Schwartz graduated from Wayne State University Law School (J.D., 1972) and Wayne State University (B.A., 1969). He is admitted to practice in Michigan and New York.
