Butzel Long attorney will discuss “The Legal Aspects of Social Media” during June 6 program at Macomb-OU INCubator
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich. – Some businesses may mistakenly believe they are exempt from social media issues. However, companies today can’t afford not to have written social media policies in place.
Robin Luce Herrmann, attorney, Butzel Long, will discuss “The Legal Aspects of Social Media” during a program from 12 to 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at the Macomb-OU INCubator at the Velocity Collaboration Center, located at 6633 Eighteen Mile Road in Sterling Heights.
“Businesses are impacted by social media law when they use computers to obtain or provide quotes, receive job applications or display a company product, to name a few,” said Ms. Herrmann. “If you have employees – and all businesses do – social media is something that you have to be aware of and address in your company's policies. You can bet that at least some of your employees are using social media, and many of those that do can use it in a way that it can materially affect your business.”
Seating is limited for this free program and registration is required. To register, call Joan Carleton at (586) 884-9324 or email: macINC@oakland.edu.
