Butzel Long recognized recently by Arbor Hospice Foundation

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – During the year, Butzel Long gives back to the community in a variety of ways. The firm was recognized recently with a certificate of thanks presented by the Arbor Hospice Foundation for donations made through Butzel Long’s Charity Casual Day program.

On the fourth Friday of every month, employees have the option to dress casual and make a donation to a designated non-profit organization. Butzel Long attorneys and staff members offer suggestions for charities to designate each month. An email reminder is distributed to all personnel prior to the monthly Charity Casual Day, which provides information about that month’s non-profit designee.

“Butzel Long’s Charity Casual Day provides an opportunity to learn more about the organizations and people who give of themselves on a daily basis. I believe our contributions make a difference,” said Francyne B. Stacey, a shareholder in Butzel Long’s Ann Arbor office and an Arbor Hospice Foundation Board Member. “Arbor Hospice provides a variety of hospice and grief counseling services in Ann Arbor and the surrounding counties. I am proud to be a member of its Board.”

“We’re very grateful to Butzel Long personnel for their generosity to help ensure high-quality hospice and grief support services continue to be available to those in our seven-county area in southeast Michigan,” said Heidi Grix, Executive Director of The Arbor Hospice Foundation.

Butzel Long has a long and distinguished history of public service. The Firm has helped numerous individuals and non-profit organizations over the years including a New York-based employee impacted last year by Hurricane Sandy. Moreover, Butzel Long has assisted clients who could otherwise not afford legal representation. Providing quality pro bono legal services is a priority for Butzel Long. The firm’s lawyers, from the newest associate to members of the Board of Directors, use their expertise and training to make a difference each year, providing thousands of hours to those in need through a wide range of programs and relationships.
