Forward Detroit’s October 16 program focuses on Businesses Investing in Talent
Butzel Long Chairman Richard E. Rassel is a featured presenter
DETROIT, Mich. – Businesses investing in talent is the focus for Forward Detroit’s investor briefing program from 8-9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at the Detroit Athletic Club, located at 241 Madison. The fee is $20 for Forward Detroit members.
The program will feature Richard E. Rassel, Chairman, Butzel Long; Jon Kaplan, Vice President and Chief Learning Officer for Discover Financial Services; and, Sandy Baruah, Detroit Regional Chamber President and CEO.
Kaplan will discuss Discover’s College Commitment program and the return on investment Discover has realized by providing greater tuition reimbursement benefits to low-income employees. Baruah will offer an update on how the 2018 election can impact Michigan’s competitiveness in education attainment and attracting and retaining top talent. Then, Rassel will provide an update on the Chamber’s Detroit Drives Degrees talent initiative.
Rassel practices primarily in the area of complex business litigation and arbitration with a special concentration in media law. He was a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers from 1989-2013 and is a graduate of the CPR Institute for Dispute Resolution Mediation and Arbitration.
