Overview

The primary focus of Mr. Stasevich’s practice is concentrated on International, Corporate, Mergers and Acquisitions, and Venture Capital transactions. He represents a broad range of companies—with domestic and multinational operations—in antitrust and trade regulation, joint ventures, employment matters, sales and distribution contracts, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) global corporate compliance, global export control compliance, and other matters. His experience also includes advising US and foreign-based companies in the establishment of operations throughout the US, Canada, Mexico, Europe, South America, Asia, Africa, and Australia.

Mr. Stasevich is a member of numerous associations of national and international significance including Lex Mundi, the world’s leading network of independent law firms with in-depth experience in more than 125 countries worldwide. Butzel is a founding member and the exclusive member firm for Michigan. He has served as Chair of the International Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan and is also a member of the International Bar Association and the American Bar Association (International Law and Business Law Sections). In 2002, Mr. Stasevich was appointed H.M. Consul-Honorary of the United Kingdom to the State of Michigan. He currently serves as the President of the Consular Corps of Michigan, and he is the former Chair of the Detroit Regional Chamber’s Canadian Investment Committee. Mr. Stasevich was a Research Fellow, Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, in Warsaw, Poland. He frequently serves as a speaker and lecturer at various business, legal, and community forums across the world.

Nicholas Stasevich is a Shareholder based in Butzel's Ann Arbor office. He is a Vice President of Butzel and serves on the firm's Board of Directors. Over the course of his career, Mr. Stasevich has been recognized by several highly regarded legal publications.
