DETROIT, Mich. – Donald V. Orlandoni and Joseph E. Richotte have joined Butzel Long as associate attorneys based in the firm's Detroit office.
Mr. Orlandoni concentrates his practice in the areas of business and commercial litigation. Prior to joining Butzel Long, Mr. Orlandoni served as an infantry officer in the United States Marine Corps and worked in the automotive and pharmaceutical industries. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and the American Bar Association.
Mr. Orlandoni is a graduate of Wayne State University Law School (J.D., cum laude, Order of the Coif, 2007) where he was a Frederica K. Lombard Fellow, assistant editor of The Wayne Law Review, and a member of the National Moot Court Competition Team. He is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy (B.S., 1995). Mr. Orlandoni is a resident of Northville.
Mr. Richotte concentrates his practice in the areas of criminal defense, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) enforcement actions, corporate-compliance investigations, and business and commercial litigation.
While at Wayne State University Law School, Mr. Richotte was a member of the National Moot Court Competition Team and the champion of the Arthur Neef Moot Court Competition. He received a Silver Key for academic excellence, and he was named a Frederica K. Lombard Fellow for service and scholastic distinction.
Prior to joining Butzel Long, Mr. Richotte served as an intern to the Honorable Avern Cohn of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. He has also worked for the United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Michigan in the Counter-Terrorism Unit, the Oakland County Prosecutor's Office, and the 44th District Court for the State of Michigan.
Mr. Richotte is admitted to practice in Michigan. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the Federal Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Oakland County Bar Association.
Mr. Richotte graduated from Wayne State University Law School (J.D., cum laude, 2007). He earned his bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Wayne State University (B.S., Criminal Justice Honors and University Honors, magna cum laude, 2004). Mr. Richotte is a member of the Order of the Coif and Phi Beta Kappa. He is a resident of Berkley.
