Our litigation and arbitration practices have grown throughout the years. Butzel has a distinguished history of successfully handling arbitration and litigation matters. We have participated in landmark cases beginning in the early twentieth century, where the Michigan Supreme Court acknowledged a President's ability to assert wartime powers over utilities, through the present, where the United States Supreme Court ruled on the constitutionality of affirmative action policies at one of the country's top universities.   • Represented and advised a hedge fund with respect to rights and obligations pursuant to a credit facility agreement with a major financial institution.
