DETROIT, Mich. – Angela Emmerling Boufford, Vanessa Lozzi and Christianne Redmond of Butzel Long were featured presenters during the State Bar of Michigan/Paralegal/Legal Assistant Section's Annual Day of Education on May 1, 2009 at Davenport University in Grand Rapids. Ms. Boufford's presentation highlighted new ESI MI Court Rules. Ms. Lozzi and Ms. Redmond's presentation was focused on the litigation support/paralegal team.
Angela Emmerling Boufford
Ms. Boufford is a business litigation attorney based in Butzel Long's Bloomfield Hills office. She is a graduate of Michigan State University (1994) and the Michigan State University College of Law (J.D., magna cum laude, 1998).
Ms. Boufford has extensive litigation experience ranging from the defense of civil rights actions to the defense of multi-million dollar commercial disputes. She has significant experience handing electronic discovery (e-discovery), including the coordination and supervision of large-scale electronic document collection and review projects.
Vanessa A. Lozzi
Ms. Lozzi is the litigation technology specialist for Butzel Long and is based in the firm's Detroit office. She received her B.A. from Adrian College and also has her paralegal certification and is a summation certified trainer. Prior to the transition into the litigation support field, Ms. Lozzi worked as a litigation paralegal.
Ms. Lozzi is a member of the Association of Litigation Support Professionals and serves as the program chair on the board for the Michigan chapter, International Legal Technology Association Paralegal/Legal Assistant Section of the State Bar of Michigan and the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association.
Christianne Redmond
Ms. Redmond has more than 20 years of legal experience with an emphasis in the areas of general litigation, securities litigation, records management, and e-discovery, and regularly assists at trial and arbitration.
Ms. Redmond also has experience in the areas of wealth management, health care law, school district law, labor and employment litigation, contract negotiations, municipal bonds, legal malpractice, and appellate work. Ms. Redmond has significant experience with summation and has worked as project manager on many large e-discovery matters. She also is proficient in the development and programming of documents and forms for use with HotDocs® document automation software and is a member of Butzel Long's Technology Committee and E-discovery Task Force.
