Tomohiro Suzuki, Butzel Long Photo

Tomohiro (“Tomo”) Suzuki focuses his practice in the areas of Litigation and Dispute Resolution, Automotive Law, and White-Collar Criminal Defense. He has counseled clients and has collaborated with lawyers and other professionals throughout the world.

Overview

Prior to joining Butzel, Tomo was an Associate Attorney at a large firm in Tokyo where he handled international and domestic dispute resolutions that involved claims of breach of contract, false statements in securities filings, and merger and acquisition agreements. His prior experience also includes a position as a Secondee Attorney in the International Legal Affairs Group of a large corporation in Tokyo where he managed projects including international arbitration and foreign investments.

Tomo is a Law Clerk in Butzel’s Ann Arbor office. He received a Master of Laws from the University of Michigan Law School and also holds legal credentials from a university and legal training institute in Japan. He enjoys giving back and supporting others and has spent considerable time mentoring and supervising new lawyers, teaching skills such as legal research and writing and drafting in court procedures.

In his spare time, Tomo enjoys spending time with his family, watching football games, and playing golf.
