Overview
Zachary Revoldt is an Associate in the Firm's Detroit office. His practice includes advising on a variety of Business Law related areas including general Business Planning, Entity Selection and Structure, Tax Planning, Corporate Law, Corporate Governance, Securities Law, and Mergers and Acquisitions. When it comes to Sports and Entertainment Law, Zachary’s practice encompasses contract review, National Collegiate Athletics Association compliance matters, and representation and counsel on name, image, and likeness issues.
Prior to joining Butzel, Zachary worked in the St. Clair County Prosecutor’s Office as a legal intern. In this role, he performed a variety of legal research tasks for the Assistant Prosecutors. He also performed legal writing tasks, including multiple motions for court hearings along with multiple legal memorandums for some of the Circuit Court Judges. Additionally, he was tasked with conducting full Civil Mental Health Commitments in Mental Health Court. Zachary’s greatest accomplishment during his internship was conducting a full bench trial in the 72nd District Court. The trial included taking testimony from witnesses, introducing evidence, and conducting a closing argument.
Prior to his legal internship, Zachary worked with the State of Michigan Unemployment Insurance Agency as a Project Team Lead through a human resources consulting firm. In this role, he instructed, assisted, and coached a team of over 30 customer service agents in answering claimant inquiries during the peak of COVID-19 pandemic claims. The team helped service thousands of Michigan residents and assisted them in obtaining unemployment benefits in a timely manner.
He received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Grand Valley State University in 2020, majoring in Finance, graduating a year early with cum laude honors and Dean’s List distinction all six semesters attended.
Zachary received his Juris Doctor from Wayne State University Law School. During his time at Wayne Law, Zachary was a member of the Moot Court program and also served as the 2023-2024 Managing Editor of Internal Affairs for the Wayne State Journal of Business Law. Additionally, Zachary won the 2023-2024 Wayne State Law NFL Contract Negotiation Competition and competed in the 10th Annual (2024) Pro Football Negotiation Competition held at Tulane University in New Orleans.
In his free time, Zachary enjoys staying physically active, and participates in activities such as golf, weightlifting, running, and other sports. He also enjoys listening to podcasts, watching pro and college sports, and spending time with his family.
